Super Hooligan class rules are simple and designed to keep costs low and fabrication to a minimum.
OFFICIAL 2021 RULES
Open to all manufactures 750cc multi-cylinder and above Street Bikes. Bikes must run 19” flat track wheels and tires front and back and weigh a minimum of 400lbs. Bikes must maintain stock frames with no fabrication allowed to change the neck angle. No cutting subframes or fabricating shock relocation mounts. No front brakes on oval tracks.
Production high-bar street bikes only. Motorcycle must have come stock with top mounted risers and upright handlebars. No clip-on bikes permitted.
Twin cylinder 4 strokes, in any configuration, above 750cc
Three cylinder 2 strokes above 750cc permitted
Maximum claimed production horsepower rule of 125HP or less
Same bike must be used in all races to be eligible for the championship and prizes. VIN # will be checked.
Since the Road race is the first event, here are the basics of the rule mods for Road Racing (formal rules to follow):
Riders will need to be approved by SHNC. Riders will need to participate in at least three prior road races to be eligible for SHGNC round #1 at Laguna Seca.
Existing bikes that race in SHNC will be eligible with modifications
Bikes will need to be outfitted for road racing, as listed below:
17” wheels and slick tires
Dual front disc brakes
Front brake lever guard
Full coverage belly pan for fluid containment (minimum 4 quart capacity)
Safety wire and various safety measures as specified by Moto America.
No glass allowed. Headlights, taillights, mirrors, etc. must be taped or removed.
Super Hooligan number plates on front and sides of bike
Recommended minimum 52 degrees of lean angle
Super Hooligan: You must be as fast or faster than Roland.
Hooligan: Previously referred to as Hooligan AM. This class is for first-timers and folks still slower than Roland.
Eligibility: Don’t bro us if you don’t know us! If you’ve never raced with the SHNC before, you must start in the Hooligan Class. Check the schedule for a race near you! Super Hooligan is reserved for racers that have raced the SHNC previously and have demonstrated they can run the pace. If you’re confident you can, we are going to need to have some proof. A call from your mom ain't going to cut it; you’ll need to provide a race resume, references, or have a current Super Hooligan vouch for you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Pro’s: We love Pros! Some of us use to be them, so come race with us, take our money, claim your trophy and bask in all the glory that is being a Super Hooligan racer, however, if you are holding a current AFT card you will only be able to collect a paycheck at four rounds. You will not receive points at any rounds as not to disrupt the championship.
AGMTT (All Gear Most of the Time). Good condition helmets and eye protection. Full face Road Race style helmets are mandatory at half-mile events. Motorcycle boots. Skid shoes are mandatory on dirt tracks. Leathers (pants and jacket) are mandatory at half-mile events and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED at asphalt events. Pants and long sleeve shirts at a minimum. Gloves are mandatory, leather recommended.
Contingency paid only for the Super Hooligan Main Event.
The provided Official Super Hooligan number plate with your number must be mounted to front of motorcycle and attached in a way that it is secured to the motorcycle for the duration of the race.
Riders must display official Super Hooligan number plate with series sponsor branding to be eligible for any prizes. If any logos on number plates are covered, modified or otherwise made illegible, no contingencies will be paid to that rider. Championship points and trophies will be awarded, but contingencies and championship bonuses will not be paid. If a rider forfeits his contingencies, payouts will move to the next eligible rider.
Rider must sign RSD Super Hooligan National Championship rules and liability waiver in order to collect contingencies.
SHNC must receive a completed W-9 form from rider in order for contingency payments to be paid.
